What would this world be if there was only 1 ruler for the entire earth?

It seems to me that as long as there are so many different races and religions that a united world government would be impossible unless a group of people committed genocide and and propagated their own culture all over the planet. Another possibility is that all the worlds people would intermix so much that they create a homogenized human race and unite. Either way, the world would consist of a lot of people who are not much different from each other.

not a clue, perhaps all countries would unite and help each other and everyone would adopt 1 main language, or maybe a huge war, people seem to have no other solutions other than wars sometimes
