i have 4 dogs and 2 cats.. i perfer puppies till they are about 3 months old though..

Have had both, prefer cats...it's SUCH a compliment when a regal creature like that gets in your lap, pummels you for 5 or 6 minutes and then, trustingly, goes to sleep. They are such babies when they want something, too, but they don't require as much constant approval (in fact, none!) to be happy.
