Ah, glad to help with your "homework!" :-))

If you mean a quarter of a pound, a pound is 16 oz, so a quarter would be 4 ounces. :-))

Be sure to use an accurate scale ;-))

a "quart" is a quarter of a gallon, and a gallon is 8 pints.

now it gets tricky.

If you are american a pint is 16fl oz then the answer is 32

However within the imperial (england, ireland, hong kong, south africa etc) measurments, a pint is 20fl oz so the answer would be 40

There are 32 (fluid) ounces per quart.

I don't know about Yahoo!, but if you type "1 quart to ounce" on google, it shows you (works with other units too).
