If someone were to say, "Your mom smokes crack", "Your mom smokes pole", or anything else diragatory about my mother, I fail to understand why someone would get angry.
Who cares what anyone thinks about your mother (or anyone else in your family). Just because loser nitwit says something about your mother doesn't mean it's true...getting angry just validates what the person said...
So what's the deal? Why do certain ethnic groups get so offended when you make fun of mothers. To be truthful, the more they get angry, the more I just want to do it...'Cause it makes me laugh!!

Maybe these "ethnic groups" have more respect for their mothers than you, and won't stand to be disrespected. What's the deal anyway? Are you going around the world telling mama jokes and seeing what happens? I'm curious as to how you narrowed this problem down to specific races.

It is considered a very high form of disrespect in ANY culture, it just depends on the individual. There are certain cultures that revere the role of a mother more than others however, so maybe thats where the anger comes in at . . . . . . . it's almost sacred to the point of worship. I mean that in the sense of if someone made a vulgar or disrespectful thing about GOD or Muhammed or whomever someone worships, they'd be pretty riled up. Same goes for mothers, fathers, etc. . . . . .its a sensitive subject even when 99% of the time teh statement is completely untrue.
