Has anyone had the condition undiagnosed for a number of years - which wasn't related to a STD - and experienced subsequent fertility problems?

I had it undiagnosed for several years until I got an abcess on one of my ovaries, I was told one tube was completely useless and the other was scarred so I was unlikely to conceive again.
Then I had a huge fertility problem! 4 years later I got pregnant rather unexpectedly! So despite all the scare-mongering and the doom and gloom from the doctors it is possible to get pregnant again!
