just go out with him once. if no fireworks then say so at the end of the date. that way you wont break his heart to much. what is it going to hurt for him to take you out and have fun. my mom always said that you should always go out with a guy once. it gives him a chance to impress you his way and its free to you. if its to bad of a date you can always call for a ride home from someone. how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot??

If it isn't there, it isn't there. If you don't like him, tell him tomorrow by lunch time. Don't be worried about his hurt feelings because then you will end up dating him. Tell him that you are flattered but you would rather just stay friends!

Just tell him gently that he's a close friend of yours, and you fear losing that closeness if you get together. Let him know you aren't ready for a relationship with him, or possibly anyone, and it's not because of him. Just make sure he knows it's not him, and that you still want to be friends.

Just be honest with him. Tell him u like him as a friend, but thats as far as its gonna go. If that hurts his feelings, theres not alot anyone can do about it. I'm sure he will survive.

" I am really very flattered that you asked me out, but as we have so many classes together, it could make things uncomfortable for us both...
I hope you understand, but no thank you!"
If he does...congratulate his maturity, if not, you made a good call not seeing him socially.
