because if it's everyday life than people are more likely to have an opinion on it. If it's far-fetched or just a goofy question, people might not have something they feel they can contribute.

Because we have all had experience with everyday life. I can answer those!
I can't put an answer on why someone's 1962 Chevy won't start or if Schwab is a better investment house than Fidelity. Those things just don't apply to me.

Because it's an "everyday" type of experience. And we experience these type of things or events more so than we do with those that we don't experience "everyday". So it is more likely that we have more knowledge to these "everyday life" questions.
