I stopped to help a guy who was stranded on the highway one night. It was really late and at first he was afraid to roll down the window. He was from Chicago and about 70 miles from home. He had a flat tire and a spare but no jack. To make a long story short I had a jack and fixed his tire and when I was done he tried to give me money. I said no that's OK. He insisted that he felt he must do something and I jokingly told him to send me a Christmas card. He took down my address. Seven months latter he did in fact send me a Christmas card. It was hand drawn and must have taken this guy a month to do. It,s beautiful. Turns out he 's a graphics designer. Small things are the best.

My best friend for never judging me, betraying me or putting me down no matter how fat i get, what nonsense i say, and what wrong decisions i make, and telling me the truth when i need to hear it. to sum it all up, she's been a great friend...it has been and still is the single best deed anyone has ever done for me.

Other than the Messiah? Well, if we narrow it down to mortal humans, a friend of mine once rescued me after I'd been kidnapped (forced into a car and driven away with, taken to a house where the intention was to rape me), but before anything really bad happened to me. I managed to get a call to him on my cell giving him my location, and he showed up like a super hero. That was pretty cool! Not a whole lot I wouldn't do for that guy after that!

My parents raised me right.

Who could ask for more? Not perfect, but with love, intelligence, discipline, and most importantly... faith. Every day I do my best to live my life in a way that respects them and shows I appreciate what they have done for me, and I tell them often as well. I treat others with respect, practice common courtesy, obey the law, and stand up for what I care about. THANKS Mom and Dad!!!

Last year, a man who I didnt' know attacked me, trying to rape and kill me. There were people watching, not doing anything.

The one person who helped, did not see what had happened. That was the best thing someone has done for me.

I was rescued by a guy named Steven in a NYC subway station. I was lost and had been separated from my husband in one of the stations. He found me crying like a baby, I was extremely scared. He left me in a safe place to wait for my husband, his cel phone number and some money.

Two friends of mine (a married couple) stayed with me almost the whole time my husband was in the hospital in ICU. At times when I was forced to be somewhere else, one of them was with him. They were never intrusive, but they were both just rocks for me. Sadly, my husband died, but I've made it through (4 years now) in part because of their support and caring.

Since you said "in history', It would have to be Lord Jesus Christ giving his life to save me(us) from the slavery of sin. He opened the way for all of us who are willing to take it.
