It's more of a best-foot-forward thing. For instance, a sloppy appearance wouldn't make a good impression for an audition or work or school, would it? And I think how well you take care of yourself (or don't) shows something about your values.

Women take pride in themselves. It starts at an early age society has a big impact on all of us. Some of us get carried away and that can be a problem. But theres nothing wrong with anyone loving to look nice. Sometimes if we feel good on the inside we want to show it on the outside. Plus, you get a different reaction from people that's for sure.........

Because that's the way men set up the standard for women,and now they don't know why???They even came up with the bra!I want to see a man wear it just for one day,I bet they can't last five minutes in them.You men are very indicisive,first you want the woman to take care of her looks,then it's like how come you're taking so long to get ready?Then "you know,you could look better with a new haircolor/clothes/shoes etc?!That's why in reality women don't listen to men anymore,because you guys are just plain weird.

The same reasons that guys care about the way they look. You just feel better about yourself. If I am out and haven't done my makeup or whatever, I just don't feel as good if people see me as when I put my best face forward.

It's not like men don't care about their looks either. You bathe, you brush your teeth, you wear clean clothes. Be glad us women don't just walk around in baggy smelly thirts and baseball hats with grimey hair and fingernails. We are just more sensitive and society pressures us to look a certain way, and if we don't we are rejects.

women care b/c men always think they can get something better (at least that's the way it seems) so you need to be the something better that the guys want to ever find anyone to love i just wish i could find a guy who loves me no matter what

woman like to show that they care about how they appear and want people to know that they try to look their best at all times. plus shopping and styling hair and makeup are fun hobbies =)

well not all women are like that ; the only reason why they`re like that is either they been told their ugly or thinks their literally ugly ; its what the inside that matters ; why cant anyone understand that ?
