It is from all the crack they smoke OR they are just plain dumb.
I cannot understand their way of thinking.
They foster a sense of entitlement in the lazy that is generational and must be stopped.

I am sure the following will meet with your approval, since you are obviously very concerned that the government use tax revenues properly. Since the current president inherited a balanced federal budget in 2001, he has presided over, and is personally responsible for a yearly federal budget deficit of between $250 billion and $400 billion per year, and a total increase in the national debt of far over $2 trillion. I never voted for this person, and would never vote for him. Like you, I hate it when political leaders "squander money foolishly." Keep up the good, informative work! We'll teach those lousy liberals something!!!

Liberals think that the people who have all of the money should have to pay some taxes. That isn't taxing the poor or middle class; that's taxing where the money is.
Squander? You think liberals want to squander it? How about the hundreds of millions of my dollars given to (stolen by) Haliburton? (Or is is billions by now.)
Good old no-bid contracts to known thieves. That's squandering.
Hundreds of billions spent to murder hundreds of thousands of people who never threatened us, and, as a fringe benefit, thereby making everyone in the world hate and fear us and wish us harm.
The left thinks that government should serve the citizens of the country. So, for example, when a natural disaster occurs, the feds should save lives, not send emails.
We on the left advocated buying meds in bulk, cheap, to provide them for medicare recipients, rather than enriching health care companies at the expense of seniors' health.
The liberals aren't the ones with the money (or the power), its those who support the republicans that own everything. They want to destroy the middle class so we will all be their serfs.
Can't blame liberals for fighting that.

Well I would dispute your premise, but even IF true that would be better than having an unelected installed dictator like Dumbya squander the money foolishly on a Big Lie Iraqi Crusade and tax cuts for the super rich. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Unfortunately, we'll end up taxed because YOUR president spent BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in a useless war. Someone has to pay for this war.
More money from the government goes to CORPORATE WELFARE then PUBLIC WELFARE. About 7 - 10% goes corporate, and only 1% of the GNP goes to corporate. The funny thing is you're taxes are going to businesses that are shipping jobs to other countries. Don't believe me, look up corporate welfare.
Encouraging bad behavior? What about those who are looking for work, but can't find it? What about those who lost their job and need money to support their families? What about those who need medical assistance because their jobs won't support one? You are grouping a few into all. How about I group every Republican as a pedofile like Foley? I'm sure you wouldn't like it either.

Why work when the government can take care of everything for you?
Socialism is nothing more than government induced theft. I've never been able to understand how they can preach for it either when they are literally digging their own graves.
They are the same people that love to cry about how badly we need to give more foreign aide, yet make no reform to just prevent the money from going into the hands of the dictators running the place. All socialism does is bring the dictator here!
It's their sad sad bleeding little hearts. Money fixes everything dontcha know?

Guess you are a conservative and label anyone who does not agree with you with a label of "Liberal". That's the big problem, people labeliing anyone that does not agree with them. There is no black and white, no all or nothing, get over this crap. Most people cannot agree on the definitions of liberal and conservative! Everyone has a different opinion, and yours is not necessarily the right one all of the time.
I see from your post it is not ok to help feed the hungry or people with disabilities who cannot support themselves; I could be real nasty and compare that to Nazi tactics where they executed those who were unable to care for themselves. It is apparently ok from your point of view, though, to give billions and billions to some of the big corporations, either via tax breaks or big contracts for poor or unneeded services--but from the conservative side, that is not welfare. I could go on and on, but why waste the effort.

The simple answer is, for years, there have been taxes. None of the current liberals are wanting to tax anybody into oblivion. As for what the governent spends it on, that is subjective. There are people who think that the current war in Iraq is the stupidest thing that anybody has ever poured money into. There are also those who think that it is a very worthy cause to dethrone dictators. It is a subjective thing.

Another repuglican myth, sounds like something that Hanity would say and Limbaugh would validate, this repuglican president has spent more and increased the deficit more then the last two presidents combined. Given that he give tax cuts to the very rich it is a travesty that you would even post a question such as this, you might want to clean your own closet first.

Your taxes weren't much higher under Clinton. We had a budget surplus at the end of Clinton's second term, now the US is deeply in debt. Whoever is the next president will have to raise taxes just as Bush Sr. had to raise taxes after Reagan's deficit spending.
Squandering money: Two examples of many: 6 Billion in oil receipts is missing from the time the US had full control over Iraq. More than 16 billion has been spent on Halliburton contracts which will never be completed.

It's corporations who've used favorable tax treatment under Republicans to park their money offshore and to outsource manufacturing.

I would like to say that the top three people who have posted (questioner is first) are really ignorant...I know this might not be the best answer to you, but to me, I believe it is the best answer. The problem with the USA nowadays is that people are so divided between liberals and conservatives. They dont know how to conform and compensate. It is called coming to an agreement. Due to this deep divide between liberals and conservativs, democrats and republicans, Congress is rarely able to pass effective laws. People need to learn how to come to agreements, and work together to actually achieve something, and not just continue to argue and bicker and give really one sided views, and sometimes ignorant comments, like you just have...
