Republicans are tickled to send 18 year old kids to serve and die in Iraq. Yet if you even breathe a word about an emminent domain action, they start foaming at the mouth about how unfair it is to be paid fair market value for property that will be used for the public's good.

In both cases, there is a sacrifice being made for the overall good of the people. Yet Republicans only whine about the action involving PROPERTY!

How hypocritical of conservatives. No problem with sacrificing children's lives, but outraged about selling a piece of property. Is this the clearest evidence yet that Republicans put money over people every time?

apples and oranges i agree
many states and cities have been successfully sued and eminent domain hasn't worked. depends on the severity of the need too. and whats going on.. hazardous get em out. new freeway maybe not.
republican agenda is about money and property not so much the poor who are the majority of who are going over to die.. and the civil rights. whooo.don't let me get started on that..
sometimes the good of some seems to be worth more than the good or lives of others...

do no longer see what patriotism has to do with our government taking confusing earned land from human beings, that probably could have had that land for generations. To take the land from somebody, build "prosperous-guy" condominium's, then resell it at a extra robust fee than you have given me.. yeah... believe me, i could do extra effective than basically whine and cry. and that i'm very patriotic (married to a soldier, deployed at that!) so as that has no longer something to do with land grabbing for social settings. Emminent area replaced into meant to be for the extra effective solid of the community... to no longer cater to one particular classification of human beings.

I agree with your last paragraph, but got a bit hung up on "Serving your nation in Iraq". The poor troops over there may be serving Haliburton, Exxon-Mobil or end-times evangelicals, but they're not serving their nation.

I don't have a problem with the government paying me fair market price for my slave to go fight in Iraq, as long as I get him back if he lives.

Is that emminent domain? We need your slave?
Hmmmm...

I consider myself a Republican and Conservative but I figure that the value of someone's life is much more than something materialist. I believe that you are going by your beliefs because of the reputation of Republicans. This is a STEREOTYPE!
