Gerald is charismatic and a great lead singer with a unique sound. Their first two CDs did okay, but now that they've gotten with the producers behind Green Day, and have made a spectacular episodic CD, The Black Parade, I think they're on the road to becoming the next Green Day. I just LOVE their new video. It's just amazing. It's like I'm in that crazy world experiencing it with them.
If you've never heard of MCR, you should check them out!

his name is gerard, I dont think they will become the next green day...I dont even think they wanna become the next green day. I love MCR, because their lyrics have meaning and they love their fans, I think that MCR will have an impact as big as green day or even bigger, but I dont think they will become the next green day and can't replace them. MCR has potential for longevity...because of dedicated fans.....and they will pass this "emo/punk" trend in music...while other bands fade away....and they will still be around in the fourth coming years...as far as green day....they are legends...it takes a while to become a legend.

First of all, I don't believe anybody can become the next Green Day
And I'm really glad that My Chemical Romance are now w/ the same producers as Green Day.. there music will definately change
But, Green Day has such a unique sound and has changed so much over the past 16 years, it's hard to be the next Green Day for any band. Green Day and MCR have such different sounds, it would be hard for MCR to change and sound like Green Day also
Can't wait for the new MCR cd!!!!!! only 14 more days!

my chemical romance ftw i like gerard and mikey and frank and bob and ray and that i could in no way go with green day over them even tho they have some good song mcr are wonderful human beings and as quickly as I heard theyre first music i fell in love and now they are my entire stay. stupid emo f*cks? me and something of the mcrmy gets u for that!! hehe jk. yet nevertheless wayyyy extra perfect than green day. green day is fullyyt a band. my chemical romance is a f*cking faith! so tell ur pal i say hi and that we ought to continuously carry close out sometime lol :)))))

No. MCR are good and all but Green Day just make a completely different style of music, especially since embracing politics. I like MCR, but I feel sometimes they're a bit of a kiddie band.

No My Chemical romance have a totally different sound to green day. My chemical romance do not even compare to Green day

No earthly way. My Chemical Romance is a gay emo band. They do all this crap and junk. Green Day is a good punky band. The vocals and lyrics are good in Green Day. Thanks have a good day!
