Recently, I had some spyware on my computer and I removed it using the Norton Anti-Virus included with the Yahoo! Toolbar. Later, I heard that Norton sometimes messes up your desktop background so I deleted it, but my background still can't change. I can change the color but that's it; I can't change the image. And I've also been hearing about this "Active Desktop" thing, but what does it do? How do I turn it on?

My laptop is currently running on Windows XP. Recently, I got some spyware on my laptop but I deleted it with the Norton Anti-Spyware that came with the Yahoo! Toolbar. Then, my background turned one color, but I couldn't change it back. Later I heard that Norton can sometimes cause backgrounds to not work so I deleted it, but still when I go to the desktop tab under properties, I can change the color of the background but not the image, it won't let me select from the list or let me click Browse. Can anyone help me?

Right tic anywhere on the desktop, select "Properties" and tic the "Desktop" tab. You should be able to change the "Wallpaper" here. Here's what "Active Desktop" is:

Just delete the old image (in the windows system folder) and restart the computer and insert your picture choice. It maybe though, consult an expert to do it for you.
