It all depends on the performance being done. Haircut should at least be 3-5 dollars if they wash and set it you should give them 5-8 dollars. Color and updo's are more time consuming and they really deserved 10-20 dollars because they are taking more time out for you and they could have done two people in the amount of time they did yours.

20 % all the time, if you get a really awesome cut, you should give a little more. Also tip the shampoo person, they work for little money.
