Getting your ears pierced is no big deal these days, BUT, please get it done by a legitimate earring dealer. Not just your sister's friend's boyfriend's uncle. These people will be able to properly advise you as to "How long should I stay out of the water?" "How do I care for for fresh pierces?" "What are possible trouble signs I should watch out for?" etc. etc.
Now, in our family, we have always told our kids that they had enough holes in their heads , without going out for more. Well, so far, the boy is not pierced, but all the girls have at least one pierce per ear. An other place? Don't Ask, Don't Tell!

Oh cool. I just got my second ear peirce last week. It is nothing to be scared about. Yes, it is a little painful when they peirce your ear, but once that pain (which is like 2 seconds) is gone, it will be normal! ..
Putting water on it won't give you an infection. But always wash your ears well at the end. And put rubbing alcohol to keep the infection away. Also don't use a public phone or anything that would ahve germs. Keep the earrings that they put on you for atleast 2 weeks. And remeber to spin you earrings while they are in your ear and not just keep it still in your ear.
Once agian, there is NOTHING to worry about. Good luck!

Oh my gosh! There is absolutly no reason to be scared of getting your ears pierced sweetie. I have six holes in my ears and it does not hurt. You should get it done with a peircing gun. I got my ears peirced done at walmart. All you feel is a little pinch and thats it, its over! so dont worry get it done and you wont regret it. I even have my cartilidge (the top part of my ear) and that didnt even hurt so dont worry it wont be bad at all!

well i got mine pierced when i was a little baby so i can't say if it hurts or not but i doubt it does. i recently got my tongue pierced && it didn't hurt as much as i though it would, so your ears must be nothing. but you should get them pierced when you come back from your trip because the chlorine or salt water will most likely irratate it && you could get an infection. so just wait. && stop trippin your just scareing yourself!

If it's just your lobes-it doesn't hurt. Just a warm pinch and then it goes away. It shouldn't get an infection if you take care of them properly-such as cleaning them and turning them. You'll love going to buy new earrings.

It doesnt hurt.You have to keep the first earrings in for awhile & keep clean with rubbing alcohol.

usually where u go they give you this stuff to make it not get infected....it wont hurt bad...but mine were red and felt hot after..but i'm a chicken..don't worry about it..... :^)

If you are this scared of something so simple, then you shouldn't do it. Either that or get a damn backbone, quit whining about it and just get it done.

i would try really hard to keep my head above water......i wouldnt go into the ocean though the salt water might irritate it
