It depends upon how well you test and how well you've prepared. I walked in and took the test in about 4 hours. One hour for each year of high school...

Depends on what u learned in school. I was told by numerous people that I'd have to take classes becasue I wouldnt be smart enough. And that if I WAS lucky enough to pass then i'd represent like 3% of the people. Well I went & took the pretest; passed it, then took the GED the next week & passed it with something like an 88% ile. So just go take the pretest & see where u rank.

The test can take as long as 8 hours. A lot of people I know can get it done in 4. How long after that that it takes to get the GED sent to you, I don't know.

It depends on where you go to take it.
I had a friend take it and she had to take it in parts. It took her five Mondays.
My sister took it and it took her four hours.
Plus, if you don't pass a certain part of the test, you may have to take it over. So, just make sure you have enough time for everything.

That is up to you and how well you remember. It took me two months but, of course I had been out of school for over fifteen years.
