as long as you download the videos onto a dvd-r. cd-r's will not work in dvd players.

No, CD and DVD are two different formats. You can, however, download them as a WMF (Windows Media File) and watch them on Windows Media Player! (hehe...I've had lots of practice!)

If your DVD player can read VCD, SVCD, DIVX or avi's formats straight off the cd then your good to go. Whats the manual say?

Right-click and save target as... only works on some things

Then get a program like NERO and burn as Video (VCD) that will play in your DVD

you cant download to a CD you can burn to a DVD or download to your computer.

Nope you need to have a DVD-R or DVD-RW but not the CD-R only. check on the differences between the discs.
