Clinton was offered the head of Bin Laden by the Sudanese government, he turned it down.....Big Clinton mistake: Somalia took an a$$ kicking and pulled everyone out.
The economy was on the rise when Clinton took office. He reaped the rewards of President Reagans and Bush' groundwork. Also we were coming out of the gulf war, an economy always booms at the end of a war (*WW1(the '20's) WW2(the 50's) and Vietnam(the '80s))
There is no middle class you are either well off or struggling, something that started with Clinton....and don't even get me started on Monica and his other flings!!!
Do I think that "W" is the biggest idiot to ever hold the office, hell yeah, but don't say that Clinton was a great president...the guy that got a bad rap was Carter

The reason why the Reckpublicans didn't like Bill was because the rich had to pay very high taxes. I think it's fair that the more a person earns, the more taxes it should pay. But they forget that Bill only had 2 years to do what the Dems really wanted. The other 6 years involved many changes in his platform and had to move it to the middle. Yes, I remember in my school in FL we had P.E. every day... I really enjoyed it. Plus the fact that obesity wasn't serious as it is now. We need to get things to the way they were before (yes, like the words in one of High School Musical's songs). Clinton has my respect but I think the only time the Reps might respect him is when he dies.(unfortunately!)

The whole world laughs at Bush.
He will never a real president.
He is just a clown.
He saved bin Laden's life so they could be buddies.
He raised taxes on us working people.
He put 4 3/4 cents a gallon on gas, which we will be paying our whole lives.
He will be in prison for corruption and his
nonstop massive lying to the American people...
It always takes a Clinton
to clean up after a Bush...

he inherited a booming economy when he took office and taxed it into nonexistence
had a second chance for a sure kill of Bin Laden and didn't pull the trigger
bought light water reactors for the N Koreans leading to yesterdays debacle
had an ongoing sexual liason with a very young woman ( or more than one depending on who you believe)
had no existing foreign policy for 8 years
all that bull about the poor and the middle class - c'mon he taxed the hell out of us with one of the biggest tax increases ever
no action on campaign promises about health care and social security
this guy will go down in obscurity not history

Wow..... was that the coloring book version of US history or the fill in the blanks version....
I'm not sure that this question even deserves a response.
The economy was not "booming" in fact several years of the Clinton administration was mired by recession.
The world thought we were weak and a joke.
When did he bomb Bin Laden??? Who did he capture????
He let Bin Laden go when Syria offered him up because he felt that we didn't have "legal" cause.
You really should step away from the crack pipe.

Even as a liberal I have trouble following your logic. When can we admit his follies and the right admit bushes. They are human beings and not perfect. Hell they are politicians. They are the least honest group we know.
I have a hard time thinking clinton-fdr with the same fondness. And please let him be the last "clinton" in office.

History might have looked at Clinton that way, if he hadn't proved to be such a scoundrel. Ask yourself, would you really want your child to grow up and be a person like Clinton, a womanizing liar? Likely not. He may have risen to the presidency of the U.S. but he had a serious character flaw.

You didn't mention he bused scam being used to inflate interest on treasury bonds, tried very hard to get tools needed to prevent 9/11. Very successfully fought and won war as complicated as Iraq except for oil factor also tried very hard to get private pension system fully funded, but in my opinion he blew it when he let oil companies conglomerate again. Look at the quality of federal judges appointed. One followed the law not I took care of you now you take care of me.

FALSE INTERNET EARNING LED TO THE STOCK MARKET DEPRESSION.
RESPECT OR SCARED TO CONFRONT THE WORLD. CLINTON RAN FROM EVERY INTERNATIONAL FIGHT. HE WAS THE SOFTEST PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD.
FAILED TO GET BIN LADEN ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS.
ALLOWED THE EMBASSY'S IN KENYA AND TANZANIA
TO BE DESTROYED. THE USS COLE WAS BLOWN UP. BLACK HAWK DOWN WHAT ELSE SHOULD I CONTINUE ?
THE PROSPERITY WAS SHORT LIVED THE INTERNET BUBBLE WAS A CLINTON GORE LIE. THE MIDDLE CLASS BECAME POOR WHEN THE MARKET DROPPED LIKE A ROCK.
NO TO MENTION THAT HE MADE A FOOL OF HIMSELF AND HIS WIFE AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BECAUSE MONICA COULDN'T KEEP HER MOUTH CLOSED.
SORRY HE WAS NOT THE GREATEST.
