TThe major flaw in your argument: Nirvana are hardly golden oldies, especially seeing as they were about less than 15 years ago!
And 'Golden Oldies' usually refers to stuff like Bing Crosby and Doris Day and the like. Get your terminology right...

Led Zeppelin.
Would any of the others (possibly The Ramones excepted) been rock bands if Led Zep hadn't blazer the trail?

Out of those, I think Nirvana for Nevermind, followed by Queen then Led Zepellin.

Tough one. You'd have to put Zep top, just because it would be mad not to, but then theres Queen... One of the best rock bands to walk onto any stage. Can I vote for Led Queenlin?

The Ramones were the only ones with any staying power surviving three decades.
I saw Marky this year still playing Ramones songs with Anti-product.
Definitely the Ramones

You know what, when I read your question I thought this was about 60's music/singers/groups. They ARE golden oldies!
