For those who don't know, a cover song is a remake of an original song(ex. ataris 'boys of summer' and no doubt 'it's my life'). Please tell me some of the songs you would like to hear covered by a punk/rock group. Name as many as you want, and try to choose songs which have not already been covered.

Fun question...

Lithium by Nirvana- Grunge was inspired in part by punk, so to cover a grunge song would be taking it full circle. I realize that this song has been covered, but honestly, any song by Nirvana would do...

A Forest by The Cure- Goth rock, nice and weird. I'd love to hear a punk interpretation of this.

Breaking The Law by Judas Priest- Metal, unfortunately also has been covered... but it would make such an awesome punk song.

I Think I'm Paranoid by Garbage- Gotta include some chicks...

Psycho Killer by The Talking Heads- already a punk song, I know. But still would make a good cover.

Hero Worship by The B-52s- again, already kinda punky, but cover worthy.

Strange News from Another Star by Blur- Alternative, I guess. A bit slow for a punk song, but it would be cool to see how someone managed to punk it up.

If 6 was 9 by Jimi Hendrix- I think it could be managed, with some slight lyric editing.

Kick It by Peaches feat. Iggy Pop- another already punk song...

Get It Together by Seal- Hehe... I'd like to see someone make this punk.

Rock & Roll by The Velvet Underground- Pre-punk, I guess, though I usually classify it punk.

We're Desperate by X- Punk, but a cover'd be cool.

oo Cool Question.
--Enter Sandman, Metallica (i dont think any band tho could pull it off quite like metallica!!)
--Pretty Fly, The offspring (taht would just be funny...)
--Dwn With The Sickness, Disturbed ( i would love to hear a diff. version of this one, even Richard cheese's version is kwl!)
--All the SMall things, blink 182 (it was such a hit, it'd be pretty kwl if the cover got mainstream too)
--Absolutely (Story of a Girl), 9 days (this was the defiention of One hit wonder, so it'd be intersting to see how the new on did)
--any KoRn song (funny to see a some band try to be as good as korn. ya right)
--

weird. boys of summer just came on. sweet.

Cars, Funkytown, I Ran, Our House. These would take some thinking but if done right would probably sound pretty cool.
