I need help/ideas for raising some money. I know someone who was nominated for the student ambassador group people to people, but does not have the money to even dream of going on their trip. She would love to go to Australia (the trip they chose her for), but her family could never afford to let her go there.
Can anyone help?? We thought of some ideas, but I figured I would also ask our Questions community for help as well.
We came up with- putting some of her allowance money away per week, talking to her church, writing a letter to different businesses in our town.

Hi how about a car wash, bake sale the school could sell chocolate bars, entertainment books, have a raffle or a bottle drvie lots fun things do hope its help you

that's not a bad start...local businesses in my area often are happy to sponsor sports teams and other things that are school related. Maybe the girl and her friends could do a car wash to see if they can raise some money. Local businesses are always doing that for sports teams and school organizations. Perhaps if you know someone in a local band they could do a benefit show (or maybe a student band could do a benefit to help at the school). Just a few ideas that may help.

It doesn't sound legit to me. If there is such a group, money should be provided for travel. I would investigate thoroughly before I started to try to raise money.
