I personally like the idea of taking that special someone to a strip club and then proposing to her while getting a lap dance, but that's not for everyone. Most people find something that is special to them (either a unique happening or something that helped you fall in love with her or something you like to do together). Alot of times you can surprise the girlfriend by mixing a common thing that you like to do or have planned to do like a trip or activity with something that is unusual like a flat tire that strands you in a romantic place (the place you first met or you fill in the blank). Have a picnic set up on a mountain top (I suggest having friends help cart stuff up or you will be exhausted) or a nice night out at a restaurant and finding a ring on her plate. Ok this is how I would like my boyfriend to propose to me. Buy a set of helium ballons but before you get them inflated put rose petals inside them and in 1 of them add the ring. Have a nice candle lit romantic dinner then tell her you want her to pop the balloons you guys will have a great time. while she is popping the balloons the rose petals will be going all over the place hence a romantic night then save the balloon with the ring for last and then pop the big question once she pops the balloon and finds the ring. Yes, it would be a good thing if somehow you could "tie" it into a something she was interested in or where she worked at. If she likes plays, at intermission, somehow ask her on stage, or at the movies, somehow have it on screen. You could take her out to dinner and put the ring in her glass or have the waiter bring her a present for desert and as she opened her ring you get down on your knee and propose to her. There are so many ways. It is very thoughtful of you to ask for ideas. I am sure you will come up with one she will simply adore.

I think since Christmas Is coming soon, U should get a whole lot of different size boxes and make her keep lookin in the boxes until she finds the ring. Let her go through 6 or 7 boxes before she finds it. And make sure u wrap the boxes like there is something in each of them. Have the smaller boxes in the bigger boxes. I think that would be so cute

This is my youngest sons idea for a proposal. He hopes to do in the winter.
Go to a ski resort, ski down ahead of her. Have friends standing in spots with signs. Her name and WILL YOU MARRY ME.
