It is as true as any production can be, bearing in mind that the aim is to fill theatre seats. There is an element of fact, but if the fact is not 'interesting ' enough to fill the seats, then a little writers licence is definately used. Evita ,is probably one of the closer stories, hell, I even enjoyed the ' Madonna' film version.
