Why all the Cannabis Raids?

Question

Why are the Police targeting those selling Cannabis which as we know is a non addictive,and non killing drug,yet they seem to not be so keen on those selling and making drugs that are killing our children.
You see in the papers on a daily basis of massive Cannabis raids but how often do you see Massive Heroin raids,and with heroin cheaper and more readily available surely this should be a priority or perhaps I am wrong.

I agree with you..up to a point. Heroin and coke (to my mind) are far worse that a 10-bag of weed. As I was told when I was younger..Never trust a smackhead or a cokehead.

However, the reason for all the raids is simple. The jury is still out on whether CANNABIS is non-additictive and non-killing, but what these peope are growing nowadays is not your garden-variety cannabis but SKUNK..genetically modified, highly addictive ****! As recently as last week a man was killed in Hackney by some lowlife on skunk. Just check the net to see the physiological and pyschological damage this stuff does.

Your obviously very young and nieve,to think that canabis isnt dangerous ,its the first drug most drug addicts take ,that leads them onto stronger and more lethal drugs.and as for not raiding dealing houses,you know very little,as a polce officer in the west midlands drug squad,i was part of a raid only this morning ,my fifth this month,resulting in the arrest of 14 dealers in total ,and a substantial amount of class A drugs being taken off the streets.If only young people in particular could see the path they are starting on with canabis,they would have a different view,as confirmed my many sad people i have had to deal with,who,s lives have been so screwed up by drugs.good luck to you ,i hope you are not a future statistic.

were i live there hasn't much about till today when the police hit a raid which netted 12millions pounds worth. 7 ton of dope.such a bong we could have had..why hit all the small time dealers in the class A market when you could have the godfather of it all.
cannabis is the most commonly used the more they get the more they shut down the market in an attempt to stop the youth of the future smoking the stuff we love today

Because they don't give a damn. The war or drugs is just an excuse for the gov't to tax us more. They are a bunch of bastards. The Patriot act is part of it as well. They have spied on over a million people and brag on tv that they have stopped "42" terrorist acts. Hell we could stop more than that by kick the muslims out.

if it was genuine they would target the mr bigs and cut off the supply
but that would stop the money tree for the police- raid and seize assets
police probably make more out of drug dealing than drug dealers

Pot is also the easiest to raid, hence why they are even bigger assholes.

don't be surprised that the police are now(seasonal)targeting cannabis using people,it's more lucritive than targeting black people at this time of year plus they need a smoke (at your expense)during the policemans ball,don't worry they'll soon be back to targeting black &chinese although the triads put the fear of sh*t up them so any activity there is just a show
