Whenever I read something from a textbook for homework, I find that after reading a few pages I completely forget what was on the first few pages.
Any tips for helping me remember what I read?

Underline, highlight, or take notes on what you read. Every few pages or so give yourself a little quiz over the matierial. Re-read if necessary, and take your time. Make sure you are studying in a quiet environment without a lot of distraction.

When I have trouble like that, I go somewhere quiet where I won't disturb anyone and read aloud. Hearing my voice say the words helps me concentrate. Also, I write little summary notes in the margins and also highlight key words as I go through it. This forces me to focus on what is being said.
Another thing I do is before I begin reading, I thumb through the passage and just look at the overall outline of what the material is going to cover; it helps me get a nice overview and get in the mindset of what I'm about to read. That helps it to stick in my mind as well.

You might be an auditory learner. Record your voice and listen to your own reading when you go to sleep. An auditory learner can comprehend written language better by having it read aloud or by reading it aloud to himself/herself.

that used to happen to me too, but if you take notes like this other person told you,that might help.
but, i think you should read something you enjoy, that helped me, but if it's school work, i can't help you on that, read whatever they tell you.
