Absolutely not. It's never to late to learn to play a musical instrument. Hendrix didn't hook up with Billy Cox until he was about 21after he left the military because of a parachuting accident. Don't listen to your "friends".I have two sons that are both musicians, one is a bad *** drummer and the other plays guitar and drums,my husband is also a drummer. The first statement you made says it all "I want to learn". So go for it.

I've been working with the course for about a week now, and it's incredible. Just the practice aids and the different scales and memory techniques in Book 9 are worth the price of the course, alone! There are two things that make this course stand out. First, all the video and audio files are embedded in the lesson. I have yet to find another piano course that makes it this easy. It's so nice not to have three files going at the same time!
The second thing is that you actually get to play in each lesson! And the songs are not "Mary had a Little Lamb" types! From the Beatles to Bethoven, it's all there. I have several piano courses that I have ordered over the internet. This is the one I use because it makes learning fun! I'm amazed! Once you get the rhythms down, you really can sound like a pro! Great fun! Thanks for making this available at such a reasonable price. Anyone who doesn't grab this up is going to go the long way home! Joy!
Now ANYONE Can Learn Piano or Keyboard?

It's never too late to take up a new interest. There are a number of ways you can learn: get a teach-yourself guide, find a friend or family member who can play it to teach you, or get a tutor. Some people are naturally more musical than others, but with enough practise anyone can become good at something. Once a week is good, especially if you have studies because you need some spare time. Don't worry if you don't get it right away: practise makes perfect.

If you want to be realistic, the younger you are,the easier it is to learn. I think this is true for all musical instruments. But then again,it depends on how talented you are. The first time I took piano lessons was in college when I was 31 years old. My age made me feel insecure and I didn't believe I could compete with the other students in my class who were either teenagers or in their early twenties. I'm now 42 so compared to me you are still very young. My advice is to give it a try. Good luck!

It may not be picked up as quickly. but it's never to late to learn to play music. It's just a matter of practice. If you practiced every day for 3 years, you'd have the edge on someone three years younger who did half as much. theoretically.
