The Republicans believe in personal responsibility and advised Foley to leave the party for writing dirty emails. (Note, the publically released IMs were to an 18 year old, we have yet to receive proof of inappropriate communications with an underage page).
The Democrats give their self admitted child abusers standing ovations, committee chairmanships and presidential pardons.

I am not as worried about the pedophiles as I am the people that want to cover it up. The pedophile will be taken care of in court and prison, however I am concerned that the people that tried to cover it up will get away with it. These people are just as guilty of a crime.

I hope to god they don't. I really believe the majority of them do not. There are some really right wingers who feel they can use foley by saying look we got us one of dem homo's we don't hate me.
But not all republicans are supportive of him or what he did. There are always those who follow blindly and are so partisan they can't see the light. Politics is sort of like football. MY team wins by heart, yours by cheating and a blind ref. I'm a left winger, my girlfriend is in the right wing. She does not support Foley at all (or Bush and Cheaney really) and I don't want to see Hillary run. Why? Individual thought. I hope most people follow their hearts on the Foley issue.
