Well, the answer taht makes the most immediate sense, is that I must enjoy being sad. The more sad I get, the "happier" it makes me. Not "happy" as defined in the classic sense, but "happy" from the standpoint of being most fulfilled with the "sad" mental state.

I am sad because deep down my soul is tainted. For so long I see others smiles, and realize that they are empty. Every time I open up my heart it is just hurt all over again. Maybe it is weakness, but it is me all the same.
