I have a stackable Maytag washer and dryer...?

When we start the dryer it makes a loud noise and it gives off a burning smell.... is it the belt? if so how do i replace that myself?

Sounds like the bearings for the drum may be bad. The belt is spinning on the pulley for the drum causing the burn smell. The belt could also be "loose" causing it to spin on the pulley.There should be some way to take off either the front or the side to get to the belt. Good Luck!!!!
