Cancer is a Water Sign and it goes perfectly with all Water Signs (Picses, Scorpio and Cancer) and goes also with Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn)
It doesn't really get along with Air Signs (Libra, Gemini and Aquarius) and same with Fire Signs (Leo, Sagittarius and Aries) There r so many differences, things could turn out to be real bad. But there r sometimes exceptions...

That's funny. Before I clicked on your complete question, I saw just the first line, I said to myself, "Taurus"! And then when the whole question came up, hey! Taurus! I once dated a girl who was way into astrology. I'm a Cancer and she was a Taurus. We just met and she told me all about myself. Cancer men are homebodies, great cooks, one woman men, bibliophiles, and when upset, retreat into their little crab shells. That's me dead on. And she was a very typical Taurus and I completely dug everything about her. So astrology-wise, we were a perfect match. But, and here comes the big "BUT", in the end I think I wasn't tall enough for her, (I'm 5'7") and she was a little too flat-chested (32A) for me. So whattya gonna do? My second wife was an Aquarius, a really bad astrology match, but we were soul mates. Still we fought way too much and got a divorce. I still love her madly and I haven't seen her for nearly thirty years. Figure that one out. Never remarried, either.

it's so funny that typical astrology say that the cancer/taurus combo is a great match because it's far from the truth... true they have so many things in common but there is a thing of having too much in common such as their not so good traits... both have a tendency to feel sorry for themselves and a bit moody.. so when they both go away to sulk they expect their partner to follow them... because they're are both to preoccupied with their own crisis of the moment neither one cares to see how the other is doing... this can work out though don't get me wrong if their moods don't conflict too much.. as long as you don't mind plenty of drama.. cancer is a water sign taurus is earth water/earth normally don't understand each other... so to answer your question... cancer is good with other water signs scorpio, pisces, and cancer... also sagittarius and leo are promising as well... but your top three would be sagittarius, scorpio, and pisces..........good luck
