Any magic words, words of wisdom, etc. to help me forget about my lying, cheating ex-husband? I am trying to deal with all the pain and anger but it is taking awhile. I guess that is normal after a 13 year marriage.

Consider his stupidity to be a huge favour!

It'll be hard for the first little bit, but it'll get better as time passes. He cheated himself out of having you in his life and now he's given you the opportunity to find someone better or do something better with your life (rather than being with him).

Best of luck with whatever path life takes you!

YOUR BETTER OFF, THIS TOO SHALL PASS, HIS LOSS, i was in your shoes last year before i filed for my divorce and freed myself of the lying cheating ******* that made our friends all think i was the bad guy in the break up . Oh well i am a million times happier right now and when he cheats on the new girl she will see what a prize she got. My ex's girlfriend already tries to talk to me abotu the way he is oh well she wanted him she can have him . Move on find happiness u deserve it , and all men do not cheat. There are still nice men out there that u can share ur life with .

No there are not any magic words that is a hurt that runs deep. But you have moved on by saying ex husband throw yourself into your new life. Take the time to review why you choose such a creep. I say that so that you are careful not to get another 1 just like him. As women we tend to gravitate to the same types of men.

I wish there were some i could give you. I am trying to get over my wife of 12 years. I have found a few good websites like divorcecare.org that i am in a support group with. Make a plan, try to stick to it, get some counseling, and exercise alot and try to remember who you were before you got married. That is what I am doing. It is very hard I know. Somedays you feel like you just can't go on, but we have too.

Yes its I am worth more then that. I too had a crash course of a long term marriage and horrible divorce. I was extremely bitter until I learned to love myself more then I hated him. Once I made myself to get to that level instead of thinking of the pain I got up so grateful that I was free from him and all the bad memories.

No magic words, but everything will be ok... just hang in there and don't give up. keep on moving forward... God has something else in store for you. take care and good luck with everything.

Marriage - "when two people are under the influence of the most violent, most insane, most delusive, and most transient of passions. They are required to swear that they will remain in that excited, abnormal, and exhausting condition continuously until death do them part." --George Bernard Shaw

Think of that and thank god you are single now. Live it up!

The only magic word I know are please and thank you, but I don't think that will apply here (at least not yet, but someday you may very well thank him). In the mean time remember time wounds all heals.

Time heals all wounds.

You will get through this, and come out the end of the tunnel stronger.
