I have just had a wonderful NEOCON castigate me for wanting a world where Peace, Decency, Honesty, is prevalent in order to preserve the world for our children.
Apparently the 'moral majority' really do believe a nuclear war is the best option. Where we are all searching and scrapping for food, clean water and clean air.

This really explains the last 6 years.

GloryDays..., We someone in DC who doesn't want a world of peace... or else he would have learnt some salutory lessons over the past two days. Nothing seems to have been learnt. You talk to your enemies not continue to demonize them.

Aren't NEOCONS wonderful!? Trying to decipher their thinking gives me a migraine :( They're following the same path as the dinosaurs however, soon they will be eradicated by their own stupidity, but it can't come soon enough ;)

War may or may not be preferable to peace. It would depend on the circumstances within the peace.Murder will always be with us, It started when there were few people on earth with one brother killing another because he was jealous of him. When you have war, you have destruction. You are looking at the world through rose colored glasses. You left wingers are wanting to give your nation away on a silver platter. The moral majority does not believe nuclear war is the best option but it may come down to one not of our choosing. What would you do if we are nuked by North Korea?

c'mon my friend....let's be honest...REALLY honest. We are the most powerful nation in the world - and we are CAPITALIST. It's unfortunate...but true....everything is about money - even wars. The same companies who build the bombs to blow up cities are the same companies that get hired when we need to build up those cities. War is an unbelievably profitable business - read some books on the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) - I'm not engaging in any conspiracy theories here. War is profitable - more profitable than probably any other business.....peace?? Not profitable at all. Profitable & powerful companies will never allow themselves to go out of business.....the MIC can't afford peace. I'd rather live in peace - but as long as capitalism is king - it'll NEVER happen.

Trust me, the majority of people do not want a nuclear war. If they did, then the human race would be lost and we'd have had the war by now anyway. Whilst a large part of humans may be stupid, they're not stupid enough to believe that nuclear war is a viable alternative to peace and love. If they did, then I'd be the first to push the nuclear button because I'd be ashamed to be part of such a race.

My friend there are over 6 billion people on this earth how do you suggest we get everybody in this world to live together in peace and harmony. Human nature makes this ideal impossible. Of course i would love to live in a world where i don't fear for my future and for the well being of this nation but i live in the real world. i know that there are those out there among the human population who do not believe in this same ideal.

It's far more practical. A wise man plans for the worst, and hopes for the best. Do you truly expect the majority of humanity to embrace peace, decency, and honesty? In that scenario, it would only take one madman to overrun the whole lot. Don't underestimate the importance of struggle in life, or overestimate the goodness of taking the fight out of mankind.

Nuclear war always has been eminent and as more and more petty little countries become nuclear powers the question becomes "Are we really willing to wait until they hit us?".This is the reality of the world which you have obviously been too will shielded.

You're [Humanist] asking THIS-HA. Since when to humanists live in peace? Every great warmongerer in history was a base humanist, at heart.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

NO war, NO peace. Peace as you think is unnatural. What is natural to envy and hate your neighbor. Trying always to be dominate and ahead of the next person or country is natural.

Why bother with diplomacy when you can just drop a bomb from 300 miles away? Or at least, that's what a learned after finishing the published works of Stalin.
