The course I am wanting to take is the Herbology course, and was wondering if it is "certified."

I am also well aware of the Degrees, traditions, and hierchy of the circle. Also, I do not believe that you need to be "given" a title untill you feel like you have accepted your path. Also I do not carry a Degree, not even an initiate, I do not need them to connect with the God and Goddess. I am wanting to help others with herbs, and be legal in the same.

Unfortunately, no pagan school is currently 'accredited'. Accreditation is done only by very specialized organizations and those are generally only willing to accredit mainstream schools. Sadly, most will not afford those of pagan-minds the courtesy of review and subsequent earning of accreditation. Additionally, a spiritual degree such as that which is earned when traveling the road in becoming Wiccan clergy (HP, HPS) is quite different from degrees earned in mainstream schools (AS, BS, MBA, Doctorate, etc.).

Sacred Mists Herbalist Training Program provides certification of completion and many students have gone onto obtain positions in offices providing alternative healing therapy post-study with Sacred Mists, or have opened their own alternative healing centers, and even started their own line of treatments and therapeutic merchandise. The possibilities are limitless when considering how to apply training obtained through Sacred Mists to your life goals when considering financial solvency through personal calling to heal physically and spiritually.

NO! NOT ACCREDITED! They are just using the word college to sound more professional.

I just wanted to concur with Chris j, in a wiccan or magical circle, a piece of paper saying your a "_____" doesn't mean anything. I have a feeling, after being around the magical communities for 14 years, that if you were to even admit to taking online wiccan courses, they would laugh at you.

Sacred Mists

From Witchvox:

Our Wiccan school, focusing on Celtic/Faerie/British Traditional (with an "eclectic flair") provides those persons who are seeking a change from Solitary Witchcraft, are newcomers to Wicca, or people who are expanding their experience of Magick the means to train and grow through our robust and extremely interactive online training programs. Students gain Wiccan Degrees through the teaching extension of our Wiccan Coven and Circle, Sacred Mists, resulting in ordination as a High Priest or Priestess of Wicca. We also offer Adept and Elder programs for our advanced students along with additional enhancement courses available to students and non-students alike.

-------

If you're looking for a Bachelor's Degree, this isn't where you want to look. If you're a solitary who wants to be Degreed in Wicca (which prompts the whole different question of "Why?"), then they might be worth looking into.

Dream on. What they teach might be interesting, and the courses might be good, but odds of it being a serious, up to snuff accredited U are slim.

Most denominational institutions tend to stay within the frame of their creed, and unable to teach properly anything beside their own theology/mythology/version of things. Outstanding religious universities exist, but they are the exception, not the rule.

many people try to bottle and sell religion. but in the end it is the man and not the paper that makes you a priest.

priest is a title that is earned not learned. people will begin to call you a peiest or a shaman when they respect your ability with magick and medicine and when you know your religion very well.

as far as religious college... i would not trust it, simply because words on paper are not worth squat in a magick circle.
