he really liked this guy, who seemed for a while to be into him, but whenever my friend would ask this boy to hang out he would make up some excuse, and now this boy told my friend that he thinks he likes a girl. after he told my friend that he was gay and has had gay sex and enjoyed it. so my friend is really crushed, and i think he should just leave this guy alone. but i think hes afaraid hes never going to find a nice boyfriend because he himself is still in the closet. my friend has it pretty tough but im there for him. i just want to know what i can do to convince him that their are other boys out that that would be intrested in him. how can i help him find someone if he is still in the closet?

You can't find him a man; but you can be supportive as he comes out. Tomorrow is national coming out day - encourage him to tell someone new that he is gay. It gets easier each time.

After that, he'll be able to find his own men!

All you can do is be there for him. Make him smile and laugh- and be there when he needs a shoulder to cry on. If he is still in the closet, he still has alot of fears about who he is and the consequences that come with being out. He probably isn't really ready for a serious relationship. However, there are guys out there for everyone. I am an unlikely candidate to have a partner, but I found one who makes me whole. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can! He just needs to relax and take it slow. When the time is right, it will happen.

Encourage him to meet new friends whom he can be out to. If he is not ready to tell his current parents and friends that is fine, but he can make new friends. Is he old enough for gay bars? Are there any support groups or social clubs for gay people in your town? He might benefit from a coming out support group or he might just like to meet people who all enjoy a similar hobby. Encourage him to get out in the gay world a little, and meet new friends and potential boyfriends.

your friend seriously has to let this guy go, and slowly start opening his closet door. he is very lucky to have you in his life, but should include other friends in on his secret. Then with several supporter, he might be able to tell his family and step out of that closet.

He needs to live life to the fullest and you should be there to partake. He needs to be honest and he will find someone. Being in the closet is like have a garage sell with the door shut! Open that door!

I'd suggest helping him get ti the point that he's proud of who he is and has the confidence and support to be able to step out of the closet first.

Sounds like he is pretty young - just let him know it takes a while to find the person you are mean to be with...I met my husband at 24.

As long as he is in the closet, he is going to be afraid to commit for fear of being outed....
