Im 14 and i've had a bad headache and stomache ache all day long, and i found a small reddish brown stain on my underwear, i put a pad on but i havnt had anything for a few hours, was that my first period? i dont want to ask my mum just incase its not the real thing...

It does sound like your first period hun. Its ok, you can ask your mom, most likely she would be happy that you came to her with your question. Youre the right age to get your period, and when you first get it, its not usually regular...you can spot a lil bit, you can bleed a lot, you can have a 2 day period, then a 7 day period. ITs all normal though. It takes about a year if I remember right for your body to adjust and for you to get periods regularly with a certain amount of days you'll bleed. Its all ok, its normal, you can also go to different sites on the web about womens health, or see if there are any teen centers in the area (you can usually ask for on through your high school counselor) and call them and ask as well. I just want to stress, ITS NORMAL. Youre ok, and it is your period. Congrats, and welcome to womanhood doll.

Sounds Like just the beginning. You should go ahead and talk to your mom but if you want to wait till there is something more there then go ahead if that makes you more comfortable. Also some aspirin or what ever you take for pain will help with the head ache.

Sounds like you are spotting to me. It may be that way for a while, just watch out for it, when my first period hit, I had a little bit of spotting one day, and the next it was full out bleeding.

It could be it for the first month, since it may start light, but it's probably going to get heavier tonight or tomorrow, so keep a pad there and another fresh one with you.

Don't be scared hun its just your first period coming, talk to your mum its what they are there for she will be able to help you much better than us lot, remember its only natural and your mum is probably already expecting it, after all she probably does your washing. Your mum is also your best friend, talk to her, good luck x

Yes that probably was your period. You need to let your mom know. This way she can get you some pads that you will be needing soon.

yeah you just started your period! welcome to being a woman! tell your mom she will help you. and your first period will be very light and i know it has been a few hours, but that was how mine was. it was a long time before more blood came out. it will take awhile for more to come out. good luck!

Its just old perios blood,no biggie. BUT,if that was all your period was and you had unprotected sex you can take a test,.
Good luck but next time,use protection when you have sex.if you must have sex at all. Sex is how babies are made.
