There are a lot of places that will sell u and ship animals through airlines. Its usually 100%guarantee for most pets. There is a well known web site that sells animals and ships them with details, its a proven website so u dont have to worry about scams and such.

or u can go to this website that allows u to adopt ferrets in your area from rescue groups http://www.washingtonferret.net/adoption.html.
Also look in your local newspaper. Good Luck!!

1. You CAN vaccinate ferrets against rabies.
2. Ferrets are NOT rodents!!!

Like someone else said, check the laws of the area. You don't want to bring one in illegally and have seized or put down. Also, just so you know, the initial cost of the ferret and supplies is going to be over $300. Then you need to have it checked by a vet and have it's booster shots. Ferret food is expensive, you will also need to buy good litter (NOT shavings or kitty litter, woodstove pellets are the cheapest safe alternative).

If Petco has ferrets then I'm guessing your allowed to buy them. I never heard of them being illegal except for hedgehogs in PA. Well anyways you can check petfinder.com or go to a pet shop in Maryland since they are sooo close their might be a ferret there. Sometimes you have to find stuff in different states.

First off, certain states don't allow the sale of certain animals. Secondly, yes Ferrets are able to be vaccinated against Rabies, it is pretty much the same as a feline rabies vaccination.
Third, try calling your local city clerk's office and ask if they are illegal to possess or what in your borough. Sometimes, the state doesn't allow the stores to sell them but they are allowed to be owned.

Because all of the weasels are in the white house and congress, and they are not for sale in pet shops, you have to go through a dealer called a lobbyist.

The problem with ferrets is that you can't immunise them against rabies. Give a ferret a rabies shot and nothing happens.

In many parts of the USA owning (and selling) certain pet rodents is illeagal. Skunks, ferrets, squirrel and the like are not welcome as pets in California either.
