Just cause they have just become a member of the nuclear club doesn't mean they want to nuke the entire west coast of the USA!
Why can't we be nice to North Korea and let them play our reindeer games?

Maybe you are confusing North Korea with South Korea. The South Korean's are our friends. We went to war against the North Koreans in the 1950s and have had troops sitting on the border between North and South Korea ever since. The North Koreans are a communist country run by a totalitarian dictator.

This is a good point, for since the Korean War North Korea never imposed sanctions or bombed another country, never imposed a UN secretary general who would not be "too soft" on another country, and never detained a world chess champion for playing chess in another country.

We are allies with South Korea, not North Korea, but I still think that they have the right to build their weapons the same as we did, and we just need to be prepared.

N Korea has never been our friend. So add crazy with a nuke, and you aren't safe, even if they can't reach the US with a nuke, they tend to sell weapons to others who can. Their biggets export is weaponry.

a: the ones we're attacking
b: the ones who figure it's only a matter of time before we attack
c: the ones who play nice with us so we don't attack them
