The country code for the U.S. is +1.
011 is the code we use to dial internationally from within the U.S.

do you mean the 011 we use? That is the COUNTRY CODE. Every state has different area codes, so I'm not sure which one you mean exactly.

+1, i.e. usually 001, but some countries use a different system, eg 09x, so it would be 091 for them
