It may have to do with the way the questions are asked.... Here is a randow collection of the questions you have asked on these boards.
"I THOUGHT i had seen the total bottom of Stupidity BUT today, did the Log Cabin Republicans take the cake? Today the Log Cabin Republicans announced they felt like they were "under attack" from the Republican party. DID YOU REALLY THINK THEY L IKED YOU BEFORE THE FOLEY INCIDENT? DID YOU? DID YOU REALLY? Without questoin they have reached a new low in the pit of stupidity today. "
"WHY does life look so bleak and hopeless when the repubs are in charge of the government and opposite w/DEMS.? It seems everytime the repubs are in control things just go to h311 and everyone just gets to depressed and down and hopeless. And the few times in my life the DEMS have been in charge everything seemed great, there was hope, plenty of jobs, everyone was making a good living. What does it take to open the eyes of people in the US to the lies and deceit and hopelessness of the repubs."
"WHEN are we going to change it back to AMERI"CAN" instead of AMERI"CON".?"
"neo-"CONS", Are they the new CON-MEN of the millennium. Just like the carpet beggers of the 1900's?"
"DO the RETARDLICANS have any other words than CLINTON, LIBS, HOMOS and WAR in their vocabulary?"
"DO THE LIES, COVER UPS and DECEIT ever end with the retardlicans? HOW MUCH MORE DO WE HAVE TO TAKE?"
"with the war, lying, no concern for mankind, do you really want to explain to god why you voted republican?"
Real mature.

I am not a con or ex-con but have studied law. I think the reason they don't answer a question directly is for two reasons. One they don't want to say anything that may make them look guilty of anything. The second reason is, if they take jabs at the one that is asking them questions then it takes the focus off of them and onto to someone else.

You're asking why a group takes jabs at others, by taking a jab at the group yourself? Your logic is a bit messed up here. That's not a jab. I'm not a member of either group. You remind me of a congresswoman who is running for reelection in my state. She and her opponent have been mudslinging back and forth for weeks, accusing each other of corruption, immorality, party-line thinking, taking bribes, etc. etc. In her most recent ad the congresswoman says, "My opponent has a disgusting record of corruption. No wonder she's running a negative campaign!"
Do you see the similarity here?

how many times do we have to answer the same question ! After a while the jab works.. We answer , you don't like the answer so y'all re ask the question..Or y'all ask crap like "why do republicans hate the US" give me a break... Republicans are more Patriotic than any other Party.. So you want an answer, Ask a legitimate question......

Are you talking about the way people answer here on Y! Answers? I think that problems arise when the question is really a rhetorical premise in disguise; when the question begs the question. Look at the difference between the following two questions...
"Why are suchandsuchgroup so stupid?"
vs.
"What is your opinion about suchandsuch?"

Ad hominem is much easier when one's actual argument requires a level of intellectual dishonesty that is becoming more and more apparent. Unfortunately, as history shows, ad hominem attacks are rarely where political disputes end their escalation. It's not us vs. them in this country, its just a power play by elites.

Because people with no answers can only argue by attacking a person. Cheap shots are way easier than intelligent dialogue.

Because most Democrat Questions are either Hate-Bush, Hate-America, or worrying about our treatment of terrorists.
Democrats never mention the be-heading of Americans, but they are very upset that terrorists might be listened to on the phone.
