No living person really knows what happens when you die? We all speculate based on our beliefs. Christians believe to absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Catholics believe they go to pergatory. Some religions teach that the spirit goes on and on continuously reincarnated into other living forms. Religions teach us various beliefs and each religion believes they are right. These religions have books, scrolls, and written documents to back up their belief structure. Science has its take on what happens after death. The most valuable evidence of what happens to the body is what we can see happen. Without oxygen and a pump to pump the blood the tissue becomes necrotic and rots away as with all the flesh on the body. The bones take longer and the fluid the funeral homes pump into the body preserves the flesh a little longer. The spirit and soul part goes where? It depends on what you believe. People are so consumed about the death part of life that they never truely live.

This is a real story. A friend of my family collapse after he received a phone call saying that is daughter did not arrive from Singapore. His eldest daughter called the next-door neighbour who happened to be an ambulance service man. He checked my friend and said there was no pussle and heart beat that he could monitor. The elder daughter then sprinkled water on to my friend's face. At that time he work up. He told me he went out of his body as if he was going up in an elevator. Where he went was a calm and beautiful blue world. He wanted to smoke they did not allow him. He said he wanted to see if his daughter is back. The people who were there talked among them than let him go. Then he came down as if he was in an elevator. That was the time his elders daughter sprinkled water on his face. He told me that if this happened again he wouldn’t come back. Sadly he died 2 weeks later while he was in the toilet. So I believe we do really pass away to another world. Very comforting to know this. Thanks to my friend.

Physically or mentally (Emotionally / Spiritually)?
Physically - once pronounced dead an autopsy is conducted (if required) then your body is prepared for your relatives (following removal of donor organs if you opted for this), you are then burried or cremated.
Spiritually - depends on what you want to believe - personally I recon this place is just a learning curve and we carry on learning (hence the reason some ppl think they've had past lives). That said tho there will be many differing views on this.

I would love to believe that we go on somewhere else and am holding out for that belief but I think that maybe you just stop. It's allover and you return to the soil like generations before us. Nothing more.
