For those that don't know, Ginger Ale is NOT a soft drink and does NOT have caffiene. Carbonation is not good for you and does nothing to aid an upset stomach.

Ginger, yes actual ginger, helps to soothe an upset stomach. Most ginger ale has only a very smal amount of ginger and is most effective at soothing your stomach if you remove the carbonation.

Ginger Ale, cokes etc. have 8 teaspoons of sugar and enough caffeine for your daily allowance. I saying just 1 DP has all that sugar so keep drinking what goes up must come down. Personally, I want to live and I wouldn't dare drink pure sugar and flavored corn syrup with caffeine.
