The Nutcracker is great if you are looking for an actual ballet that has been put into film
Great movies, that have dancing scenes (outside of ballet) that are older include:
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (great music as well)
The Music Man
Fiddler on the Roof
You can also try the classics works of Andrew Lloyd Webber -- CATS is an amazing dance inspired musical

Children of Theater Street
It's actually a documentary and was filmed in the 70s. It's about the lives of the children who attend the professional school of the Kirov Ballet in Russia. My ballet teacher suggested I watch it - she attended the Kirov school as well. It's a good perspective on the kind of dedication required to study ballet.

RE:
Ballet movies????
Does anyone know of any good ballet movies. I've seen "Center Stage" and "Save the Last Dance", but I'd like to find some more movies, older ones are perfectly fine. Thank you!!!!
