i really like fashion! But i have a big problem, i like to experiment with clothes to see what looks cute and wear it to see how people react to my style and people really seem to like it. then i run into the "haters" they are always being mean and criticizing what i wear and then i see them wearing something similar. also my boyfriend talks to some of them cuz theyre family and they ask him where i buy my clothes. I hate that why do they cirticize me and then copy me. sometimes i dont want to dress up cuz then people will just start copying me and i love to be unique. what should i do?

You sound like a trend setter! The fact that others copy you is a great compliment. The criticism is born of jealousy. As for how to deal: Maybe it's time to take this fashion sense to a place where they can't go. Think of personal or physical attributes that only you have, or could pull off in grand style. Otherwise tell them to put up or shut up.

You should take their copying your style as a compliment. Rather than being peeved you should just say to them when you see them copying your style that it really is a good look. People do their best to make people mad because they are uncomfrtable with themselves. Don't let their need to criticize do anything more than give you the little boost it does in knowing that you are disturbing them. Always look for the good in a situation and you will always find it.

I cant stand copy cats, people copy me constantly- allthough i cant say that criticize my style beforehand, they usually compliment me to death and then go out and buy the same thing. They say "imitation is the best form of flattery" but i STRONGLY disagree. Nothing pisses me off more, and i let people know just that. I confront everyone who copys me and they usually have little or nothing to say because they're retarded brainless idiots.
In your situation it sounds like they are jealous of how you look in the clothes so they criticize you and then decide later that they might look good if they copy your style too, so they go out and buy the same thing. Whatever the case, Good luck!

Shrug it off. Sounds like what happened to me when I was in school. They are just jealous of your unique style. Take it as a compliment really. They obviously think you have good taste or wouldn't be imitating you. Give them a few years and they'll be like..."you remember that one chick who always wore cool unique clothes?" Don't wear the clothes because you want to be different. Wear the clothes because you like them.

Here is the thing. No matter what you do there will be someone to diss your style and then try to copy it. They think by doing what you do they can be original but they really aren't. The only thing that you can really do is do you. Wear what you want when you want. At the end of the day them copying you won't matter because you are the one being true to your sole. They seek acceptance from others and by trying to conform they will remain unsatisfied with themselves.

Start off to school in a normal outfit and bring one with you if you see them(the haters) wearing the same thing go into the the bathroom and change into you one outfit that ytou brought with you

Imitation is the best form of flattery... It just means they secretly look up to you.. feel special.. or bad for them that they dont have a personality of thier own.. ur cool thier not.
