It's more the impact of the tool they use that I remember. My eyes did sting too. But there really was nothing to it. Got mine done at a stop off on a train journey. One warning though, make sure you keep it in. The hole can heal up within an hour. I had mine taken out for an operation and it was healed up by the time I could put it back in. Shame, I miss my little nose stud.

It definitely stings. Depends on how tough the cartilage in your nose is. The sting only lasts for a few seconds; it's keeping it clean&healthy that's the hard part. I snagged my nose ring on so many things (sweatshirts, clothes, washing my face, etc.) it kept getting infected no matter how clean I kept it. I ended up taking it out after a year and a half because it swelled up really big and got this huge blood blister that I had to pop with a sterilized pin. I guess it just depends on how your body reacts to it. DON'T do it if you have sensitive skin!!
It did look really cute though!

it's a sharp sting. It hurts..I'm not gonna lie. But you have so much adrenaline getting it done you're fine. Cleaning it later that nite is what hurts..it's swollen and sore and you've gotta get in there with soap and wash it. They'll tell u what kinda soap to wash it with

I had my septum pierced(the part in the middle) and it hurt. Not like OMG I'm going to die but like a bee sting.
