Do you know of any companies that sell a sports exhaust for your scooter? Over here in the United States, no one makes performance parts for scooters. They're not as popular as they are in Europe.
And yes, a different exhaust will enhance your scooters performance. Speed? a few kph 5 tops.
For those of you that have never heard of a Suzuki Katana moped. They're not imported to the US.

I have a katana 750 that's been piped and jetted, and it has added around 8 horsepower to the engine. I have never knew that Suzuki had put one in a moped. That's some engineer.

If you add an aftermarket exhaust system to any motorcycle or moped you can get anywhere from 5 to 15 hp. Depending on your model, the effect of the exhaust system will be different. It will definitely make you go faster/and sound better. If you get an exhaust, also think about getting a new intake that will allow for it to be more free-flowing. And even a new jet kit would be good (allows for more gas) and releases restriction on the engine.

Since when is the Katana a moped? Or even a scooter? Katanas are sportbikes last I checked. Unless you've transplanted the engine into a scooter, at which point my hat's off to you....

The best advice is leave well enough alone. The Suzuki Engineers know what they are doing. Whatever kind of mutant bike you have.
