Why does it not translate to the people who create the wealth for the corporations sharing in the windfall

Greed for the most part. We get quarterly bonuses where I work. The company had sales 40% higher the second quarter compared to the first, but our bonus went down 4% because supply use went up including bathroom supplies(that is exactly what they said).

Because the people with the money always keep as much of it as they can. They use their money to influence the political and legal system in their favor. For instance, they buy off politicians to create favorable tax laws for them and keep the minimum wage low. It would honestly be called bribery, but it passes as "campaign contributions".
