There are only 28 veterinary schools in the US. Most of them won't accept you unless you are a resident of that state or a state that they have an agreement with. All are excellent.
It is harder to get into Vet school than it is to get into medical schools. I have actually met someone who became an MD because he couldn't get into a Vet school.

Not sure of all the choices but Ohio State has a tremendous vet school. I would think a lot of the major schools in states with a lot of agriculture would also have good schools.
