Is there any other form of power measure that can be used to rate an engine other than torque and horse power? The reason I ask is because I have seen engines with identical horse power and torque curves on the "dyno" which "feel" very different in the real world.

Kilowatts per hour Is the europien standard. And yes my LS-2 400 hp GTO does feel different than a Corvette LS-2 400 hp gearing has a whole lot to do with the actual feel during acceleration. Exhaust headers high flow cats and SLp lould mouth exhaust Intake and Power programmer now almost 421 at the rear wheels engine came to life with the perdiator diablo SLP 455 program and not really feeling that much stronger because you get used to power so easily but on the dyno it really shows.

horsepower gets is degree of power. torque is a level of tension. for example 4 hundred ft-lbs of torque is sufficient to tug 4 hundred kilos one foot or a million pound 4 hundred ft. torque helps to get off the line extra, on an analogous time as horsepower is used to realize bigger precise speeds

there's efficiency, acceleration, compression, and displacement. these are all measures that effects an engines performance, in the real world. this also determines how mush additional boost the engine can handle among other things. you also need to take into account the power to weight ratio.
