I am 22, normal and not really known for hallucinations or panic attacks. One night about 4 years back in a house we lived previously in, I was awake till late, studying. Suddenly, I heard the water drops dripping from a tap. Initially, I was a bit confused but then to my relief I remembered that we had a tap in the backyard which leaks the whole day and so my mother had left a bucket underneath the tap.
But only a few moments later the sound increased like someone had turnd the tap on a little bit. I heard a little more closely and the tap had been turned on fully. But I couldn't hear any movements outside (the tap is right outside my room's window, so I hear the slightest of noises). Now I heard the water in full flow (and I must admit I was SCARED). After a while the water stopped flowing and started dripping again........
Till date I havn't been able to figure out any logical explanation. Has anyone else had any similar experiences?

Is your house fenced or is it open for just about anybody to come near your backyard. There might be possible explanation to it, did you ask you mother perhaps if she was the one who turned on and turned off the faucet? If she is not aware of it, then it could be an intuder just wanting to scare you or your family. Otherwise, it is best to be cautious and keep your house locked at all times, if necessary, especially at night. If it was a ghost, he has to have the power and strength to be able to hold and do things like a normal human being. Just be careful though and tell someone in your family as well so they will know what to do if similar things happen again.

I used to not believe in ghosts, but a few years back when we moved into our new house (built in 1968, new to us), well I starting experiencing strange things, like doors open or closing and no one around. I once saw what I thought to be my brother going into the kitchen and a few seconds later, i went in there to tell him something and no one there and he was sound alsleep on the other part of the house, so what did I see?? Well now I just ignore these siteings, ghosts cannot hurt you only demons and you will know what they are if you see one.

I believe spirits and demons exist. If you are a Christian the Bible tells of demons in many stories including Christ casting them out of demonically possesed people. I have had a few strange/scary encounters with hauntings as well and many honest ,trustworthy people I know have also, I speak from first hand expierience, from actually having seen and heard with my own eyes and ears . The story behind the Exorcist movie is supposed to be true, although it is somewhat different from the movie. There is a famous Ghost story (the bell witch haunting) Where even one of our former U.S. presidents spoke to this witch and was haunted by it.

It appears that way. If running water is the most that's been done to haunt your house you should consider yourself lucky. I've had some dealings with what I thought were ghosts also. There's much more to life than just death. Unless ofcourse you're a non believer like some scientists.

I fully believe in ghost, spirits, demons whatever u want to call them i have been "sensitive" my entire life which mean's I can feel when there is a presence I have seen many spirits you are lucky to just have that one encounter what I would tell you to do if you keep having things happen like that is just ask god to make it stop it works I just ask him sometimes to make me not sensitive if im going somewhere that I know is haunted

You should not blame this incident on ghosts or spirits. When I hear stories like this one -- it causes me to chuckle on how the human mind works. Did you ask your mother about this? Perhaps it was her outside using the water, or someone else. Just because you are not able to explain this does not in any way, shape,or form mean that there"s a ghost there. Perhaps you should call a plumber friend to replace the water valve and put this to rest.Ha/Ha--Ok--next question please.
