Add some RAM to your computer.

Clean your hard drive of unused files, spyware, adware, ect.
Add more RAM.
Replace your CPU with a faster one.
Make sure you don't have too many programs running at once when you start up your computer.

IF YOU DELETE UNUSED FILES, BE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DELETING!
People screw up their computers all the time by deleting important system files because they don't know what they are.

Oh and don't let anyone convince you to download some program that supposedly increases the speed of your computer. Because it won't. No software will ever speed up your computer unless it removes viruses, adware or spyware.

Follow these steps.

1. Make sure your Hard drive is not full. If it is full, remove un-used programs, and backup old data to CD, or some other form of backup media.

2. Run Scan-disk, and a full Defrag.

3. Run both your virus scanner and your maule ware scanner.

If this doesn't speed it up, your system might be corrupted to the point, were you need to back it up, and reformat it.

Good luck.

Try defraging first then clean cookies and internet files. If that doesn't work delete some old programs not in use anymore. You can also reformat your hard drive to speed things up. If none of this works I suggest throwing it out and getting a new one. And above all else, stop downloading porn!

To really trouble shoot the issue I would have to know what you are working with: model of pc, ram, operating system version and service pack, amount of memory (RAM) and then know what programs you are running. It is not wise to just go through your ad/remove programs in the control panel and start removing them just because you don't know what they do you might end up removing a program you need. It might be a multitude of reasons that are causing your system to be slow and react slowly.

First of all go to the control panel add remove programs and check if there is any programs you do not need or want and remove them. Secondly go to internet options and properties and delete temporary files this helps. Also check there are no memory hungry applications that start when you boot up that you do not need you will need to go to adminstration tools, services and disable or allow manual intervention when you want them. Often this is the cause if you do CTRL ALT DEL and check the processes being used you will see what is memory hungry.

★★ SPEED UP DIALUP ★★

◙ If you have a dialup internet connection there are several things you can do to make it faster.

◙ A NORMAL 56KB CONNECTION

◙ Get and internet service provider that has a firewall on their server as part of the service. If you have a firewall installed on your own computer disbale it and use the one on their server. This will speed it up some.

◙ Scan for viruses, trogans, worms, spyware, adware, malware everytime before connecting to the internet. This will speed it up even more.

◙ Click on START BUTTON > CONTROL PANEL > MODEM SETTINGS. In there look for a dropdown menu with your modem speed in it. If it is set at 56kb and there is one for 112kb click on that. If this causes trouble go back to 56kb.

◙ HIGH SPEED DIALUP CAN BE AS MUCH AS 3 TIMES FASTER THAN NORMAL DIALUP
